Salam dari Malaysia!

I am Diyana from Malaysia and currently doing my internship at Nanao Local Venture. I was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but I grew up in different parts of Malaysia.

Malaysia is a multiracial country with different ethnic groups like Malay, Chinese, Indian, Bajau, Iban, Kadazan and other indigenous ethnics such as Orang Asli. Each ethnic is free to practice our own language, religion, wearing our own traditional clothes/costumes, food culture, lifestyle and other ethnic traditions. We are living in harmony while preserving and sharing our unique cultures. I am a Malay, and a Muslim!

A few years ago, I wanted to challenge myself to a new discovery, so I decided to study Japanese language and live in Tokyo. Unfortunately, after one and a half year later I have not used Japanese language since I returned home. Hence before coming back to Japan, I am a little bit worried about the language barrier that may occur while living in Japan.

I think that 3 months is actually very short! I feel like by the time I get use to my life and work in Nanao, it is already time to return to Malaysia. Anyhow, I am going to look forward and enjoy this wonderful opportunity for the time being!

I would also like to introduce Malaysia and Islam to the locals. And also do my best in improving my Japanese language!
